Wenkai Tay & capybara

Hi! I’m Wenkai Tay.

I’m a theoretical linguist working on syntax, semantics and the syntax-semantics interface.

My research focuses on resultatives in Mandarin and other East Asian languages.

I’m an honorary research fellow at the Department of Linguistics at University College London (UCL) where I also did my MA and PhD under the supervision of Hans van de Koot.

Prior to this, I did my BS in Chemical Engineering at Stanford University and worked in investment management for a number of years.
